Together with top managers from logistics companies and outsourcing providers, he took part in the panel discussions about the problems and perspectives of the development of the market in Croatia.
Outsourcing as a concept has experienced significant development in the last 50 years – from a pure make-or-buy decision to complex service management practice. The outsourcing market has been growing constantly, mainly driven by the specialization of the companies on provisioning of outsourcing services and the necessity of the companies in general to focus on their core competences. Various forms of outsourcing exist at the moment, determined by the level of autonomy and the organizational form. Although very lucrative from financial point of view, outsourcing of services bears certain risks, which have to be addressed during the decision-making process. During this process a number of questions have to be answered in order to find the optimum level of process steps to be outsourced, but also find the best supplier of outsourcing services.
