Bulgaria 2017: A look into the economic future
Sofia, November 14, 2007 – Roland Berger Strategy Consultants' Zagreb Office held a presentation of the study "Bulgaria 2017: A look into the economic future".
Bulgaria will be able to hold its own as a place to do business into the future, despite intensifying competition. But it is unlikely to return to the coziness which prevailed before it joined the EU and globalization became a real issue. Businesses and staff face far-reaching changes in the next ten years. These are the conclusions of a study on "Bulgaria as a place to do business in 2017", by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. They interviewed 160 top managers in six Central European countries and used the results to derive realistic scenarios for 2017.
"We are just at the dawning of the age of the major world economy. Competition and structural change will continue, and will speed up. This affects local and regional companies in particular, and all sectors that used to be protected," explains Jordan Georgiev, project manager at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.
