Operational overload, too little incentive systems

Compared to their CEE peer group, Croatian companies have potential to develop its purchasing activities.

On 19 of April, 2007, Dr. Vladimir Preveden held the opening speech at the International conference for employees in Purchasing sector organized by the Croatian Purchasing Association. In his speech, which is an extract of the CEE purchasing study conducted by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in 2006, he highlighted the status quo of purchasing activities in Croatian companies compared to their CEE peer group.

Key shortcomings are too high operational overload of purchasing employees, too strong focus on sourcing from Western Europe instead of Asia and too little use of incentive systems for employees.
