CEE Technology Index: Estonia ahead of Slovenia and the Czech Republic
Zagreb, April, 2007 – Estonia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic are the Central and Eastern European states that are already on a par with Western Europe in information and communications technology (ICT). Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, the Ukraine and Serbia, on the other hand, still have a long way to catch up.
The SEE countries Croatia and Bulgaria are stuck in the middle. These are the findings of the CEE Technology Index produced by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and international lawyers and consultants Piepenbrock & Schuster. The study looks at how today's information and communications technology (ICT) is affecting the macro-economic development of Central and Eastern Europe.
