Successful reorganization and efficiency improvement in Croatia
We conducted a comprehensive study of various industries to assess reorganization and efficiency improvement actions in Croatia. Success factors include time to respond to crisis, financial and HR actions, new funds and management tools. What should Croatian companies particularly pay attention to?
Financial reengineering must be part of every program and new equity needs to be pushed. Operational efficiency must be improved by sales-up actions, cost cutting and downsizing. More strategic/structural reorganization is needed to remain competitive, especially within the enlarged EU. Financial tools should be properly implemented to integrate business planning with cash flow planning.
And most important, crises must be identified and dealt with early on. This is the only way to increase the prospects for survival.
