Roland Berger conducted the survey among 320 managers form eight countries in the region about the trends, as well as their expectations for the next decade. The survey results suggested that the differences between the countries in the region will be even more prominent in the future. The managers see this as an opportunity for Croatia to position itself as a hub for Southeastern Europe.

However, this is possible only if structural reform are implemented without delay, claim the managers. It is also necessary to acknowledge the importance of business internationalization and new potential markets, such as Turkey and Russia.

The regional growth industries will be energy and utilities, IT & telecom and pharma & healthcare.
