2. International Symposium: Croatian hospitality management and tourism

2. International Symposium: Croatian hospitality management and tourism was held in Dubrovnik on March 24 2010. The topic was "Higher value added – the role of the public and private sector". The Symposium was organized by the Croatian-Austrian Chamber of Commerce, a group of investors " Austrian Hotel Investors in Croatia" and Croatian Association of Emloyers – Association for hospitality and tourism. The aim of the symposium was to point to the significance of this industry for the entire economic development of the Republic of Croatia and to contribute to the exchange between Austrian and Croatian experiences in tourism and hospitality sector. This year's symposium focused on answering the question of how to improve the value added and improve Croatian tourist offer, in particular destination management and congress tourism. Dr. Vladimir Preveden, Managing Partner and Director of Roland Berger Zagreb office also contributed with an introductory presentation and participation in a panel discussion, together with renowned representatives of economy and state institutions in Croatia and Austria.
