Roland Berger CEE manager survey about the crises
To assess the expectations in Central Europe, we asked managers in four European countries how they currently view the situation. The quick survey was conducted in November 2008 with a sample size of 162 managers from Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

- Managers expect the crisis to last one to two years
- Austrian managers see reduced order income and increased price pressure through mid-2009 as main impact
- Croatian managers are already experiencing increased sourcing costs with reduced yet stable order income expected until end of 2009
- Czech and Hungarian managers are already experiencing difficulties in financing, and expect increased price pressure through the end of next year as main impact of the crisis
- Key actions managers are implementing are cutting costs and tightening up cash management. Austrians and Hungarians are the most committed to implementation
