Sustainable tourism in Croatia and beyond - Conference "Croatia XXI" in Zagreb, October 30-31, 2008
Together with the Hungarian Adriatiq group, one of the biggest hotel investor in Croatia, Roland Berger co-organizes a series of conferences as preparation for the expected EU accession in 2011, tackling important issues for the country. This year, sustainable tourism is on the agenda, with Energy next year and Infrastructure in 2010.
US diplomat Richard Holbrooke and Croatia's tourism minister Damir Bajs opened the conference with their key note speeches, followed by Mrs. Kristina Petrusic, senior consultant in the Croatian office, presenting the study "Sustainable tourism in Croatia and beyond".
In Croatia there is a lot of awareness for sustainable tourism, however there is a sizeable lack of planned, coordinated action and measurement of results.
